Grenache 50%, Syrah 35%, Mourverdre 10%, Old Carignan 5%

2007 was an outstanding vintage overall, and Cuvee Arnaud is no exception. each varietal is aged seperately in small oak barrels for 12 months before coming together in the bottle. The wine is unfiltered so that none of the true expression of the fruit or terroir is lost in the process from barrel to bottle. Expressive, powerful nose of blackcurrant and liquorice, supported by hints of undergrowth and a certain savoriness that carries on for a long finish. Powerful and earthy on the palate, there is still evidence of rich, ripe, dark fruits and smooth, round, high quality tannins.
